Buddy Class Visit

Last week Room 22 met their 2014 buddy class for the first time!!  At the moment all of the New Entrants are in Room 1 with Mrs Seaward and Mrs Durkin.  Next week 20 children will move with Mrs Durkin to Room 5.

As it was the day of the Lantern Festival, we read a  Chinese New year story called 'Chopsticks'.

We then created Chinese Skyline pictures with hanging lanterns.  The Year 3 buddies helped the 5 year olds to cut and glue strips of Chinese newspaper to be the buildings.  Next we dipped corks into red and gold paint and stamped them to  look like hanging lanterns.

Afterwards we did buddy reading, building, puzzles and games.  Room 22 can't wait to visit their buddy class again soon!
